End of 2017: What I bought – The Coats and Jackets Edition

Note: Most of the reviews on a lot of what I have purchased can be found under this tag: Style Shopper because it would have been helpful for me to read these reviews online and I am trying to pass on the online shopping <3

And uhh.. this is just for November & December 2017.

This is NOT my Year End Post. That is .. coming later.

m0851 leather swing shawl raincoat with a deep hood in black

[ 30% off ]

Waterproof. Leather. This is the Danka Leather raincoat..  I actually really hate raincoats, you get all sweaty inside from the plastic, and they never look nice and chic.

This? Looks GREAT. Soft leather, but waterproof with a deep hood to keep water off my face. I plan on wearing it a lot.

I have been waiting for this coat to go on sale for a long time, and I missed out on their gorgeous taupe leather last year, so this year, I went with the black. The hood is very deep like a shawl so it is a bit Jedi Master, which is why I didn’t take it in Camel because it made me look too much like a Star Wars extra.

I’d show you other options but no one makes a waterproof leather raincoat except for m0851.

Banana Republic Olivia Palermo Collaboration Grey Flannel Bomber Jacket [ 50% off ]

Used up the rest of my BR credit at the store, and picked up the only Olivia Palermo Collaboration piece I liked from the store.

I am not the only one who thought this because it seems to have been the only piece to sell out. I mean who is really going to wear this hideous red coat?

This super soft, comfortable bomber varsity-style flannel jacket with very cool sleeves. They’re big and billowly at the wrist, almost bishop-sleeve-like but it adds something to an otherwise plain jacket. I like it but some people hate it because it looks too bubbly.

I wore it the other day and liked the athleisure style of it without it going too far into the “I’m out in exercise clothes” wear…

Eileen Fisher has a similar grey bomber varsity jacket, and this Kenzo one is really athleisure style and this one from Tommy Hilfiger is a long wool bomber jacket which is neat.

Parker Easton Moto Leather Jacket in Aquarius

[ 50% off ]

Review coming up on Style Shopper of the two Parker jackets I got… this one is a real stunner.

I saw it in navy blue and KNEW it had to come home with me. I was a goner. I had been waiting 2 years for the store to put it on sale and she finally did.

Parker Belfast Black Leather with a Cable Knit Sweater Back Moto Leather Jacket

Classic biker moto from the front…

I love this detail. The back is not lined by the way, so it does have some airflow with the cable knit.

Aritzia Chevalier Tuxedo-Style Shawl Blazer

Yesssssss… a tuxedo style shawl blazer. This one above is the pricey Stella McCartney and I cannot find the Aritzia version of it online because it is such an old model..

Other brands make this tuxedo style too: Tommy Hilfiger has a version, Alice & Olivia has a shiny satin version, and Smythe has a fun polkadotted version.

Iris Setlakwe Cropped Black Leather and Fabric Shawl Blazer [ 50% off ]

Sorry. That’s the photo in my StyleBook app because it is not online anywhere.

It has cool leather ribbed shawl fronts and the arms in a leather rib, a lot like those Sentaler coats I lust after. I still will own a Sentaler coat one day but not for now.

Anyway it is my first cropped blazer and it looks great with high waisted skirts or pants. Why have I not been on the bandwagon of this cropped coat business before!?!?
