Ebates Canada: Is it worth it? An update
So I wrote a scathing review of Ebates Canada when they first debuted a long time ago here and only recently have I realized that they have been purchased by Rakuten Marketing, a pretty dang big affiliate network that I personally use.
They have seriously turned it around. For REAL.
I decided to give them another shot, and I was so pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to use it, I am now a convert.
The trick is to do three things:
USE A REFERRAL TO GET EXTRA MONEY
My referral is here: Ebates Canada Sherry of Save Spend Splurge — https://www.ebates.ca/referrer?referrerid=RUKLesGAZDc%3D !!
DOWNLOAD THE APP TO SHOP VIA YOUR PHONE
A huge lifesaver. I downloaded the app for Ebates (you can search for it on any network), and it keeps you IN the Ebates window so you are certain you are going to get your money / cashback.
A dream and super easy to use.
NEVER, EVER, BUY ANYTHING ONLINE WITHOUT GOING THROUGH EBATES SITE
In just the past week, I have racked up $20 in cash back. Can you imagine, with all the shopping I have missed out on, I should have at least an EXTRA $500 back in my pocket?
They cover stores and even auction sites like eBay. EBAY!!!
My favourite shopping spots that give cash back up to 4%
- Amazon.ca — REALLY. AMAZON. I LIVE on this site.
- Banana Republic
- Etsy — ETSY. OMG.
- J. Crew — Not as often, I hate that they charge $12 shipping
- eBay — EBAY!!! EBAY!!!!!!
Anyway, use it. I am incredibly pleased now, and will eat my previous words.
