FEEL OF THE PRODUCT

It’s thick, creamy and when you rub it on your face, a little gritty from the physical sunscreen, and possibly a bit greasy after you’re done.

HOW MUCH TO USE

I use a good dollop as recommended, and I REALLY rub it into my face and skin so that it absorbs all the way in.

DOES IT LEAVE A WHITE CAST?

Not if you rub it in. If you just dab it on your face and go out, yes you will look strange.

EFFECTIVENESS

Seems to work all right. I use it on my face and neck because I don’t want to get wrinkles (the sun is the #1 cause of wrinkles and aging), and so far I feel protected.

ANY BREAKOUTS?

None so far and my skin is pretty sensitive, it seems to hate having anything on it.

If I don’t wear ANY makeup at all, my skin stays pretty clear and clog-free (assuming I am not scarfing down doughnuts or other equally pore-clogging products as well).

I’ve used it every time I’ve gone out for a few hours at a time, and my skin has not broken out into any bumps or anything like that.

It seems to be pretty good.

ANY GREASINESS AFTER AN HOUR OR SO?

Yes. I think this is the problem with ALL physical sunscreen products, is that you WILL get greasiness after an hour or so because the particles that reflect the sun off your face are shiny and shimmery to begin with.

There’s really not much you can do about this but maybe blot ever so often (which may remove some of the sunscreen), or dust a light powder over your face to set it.

OTHER CAVEATS?

I read Paula’s Choice’s review on this product and it made me suspicious that perhaps it doesn’t really work.

I love natural sunscreens and the idea of them, but not if they don’t work!

So I’m not going to recommend this product and will keep searching for a good, light, natural, physical sunscreen.
