This aptly named “Time to Prioritize” shirt pretty much says everything about my life post-college so far:

I MADE IT!

I MADE MY 2012 NET WORTH GOAL TO TREAD ABOVE $200,000 WATER FOR MY NET WORTH!

Of course, this would have been better if I didn’t shop so much, but you say tomayto, I say tomahto

My investing however, not so hot because this market is making me #$*&!#&@$^@$.

*stays calm*

Overall the year has been decent.

My net worth went up and I met all my minimum goals, so that’s what matters.

Taxes. Finding a contract. Taxes.

That about sums it up.

Hope you had a great December.

I got out of $60,000 of debt in 18 months using TheBudgetingTool.com. Since then, I have worked 50% of my career (taking 1-2 year breaks), and quadrupled my income within 2 years of graduating, going from $65K to $260K (savings rate = 85%). I could retire today if I wanted, but love my work-life balance as a freelancing consultant in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math). I also post daily on Instagram @saverspender.

It sounds like we’re in a similar place. I too had a goal to hit $200k in networth last year and made it (though with the drop in AAPL share price I’m down below this again.) I really like the style of your blog and your budgeting tools. I use Mint.com for my budget, it’s easier than doing it in a spreadsheet but then I have a spreadsheet where I OCDly track my networth by every account and stock purchase twice a month. What’s your networth goal for this year?

$250K is my minimum. I want to save about $50K a year.

I own that shirt and I love it. One of my all-time favorite pieces of closing

I really want to buy it, except I know that my personal style leans AWAY from graphic t-shirts unless they’re obscure, so while I enjoy the idea, I’d probably never reach for it.

Almost $180 on macarons and loose tea?? Dear god girl, you’re living my dream life, lol. After seeing that 50% of your spending went to clothing this month, I’m eagerly awaiting that what I spent post!

As an aside, Williams Sonoma falls under Medical?

Yeah I’m insane. But I don’t get Macarons everyday it is only if I am in Montreal I am near them. Otherwise I tend to not buy any because Toronto is disappointing.
Oops!! W-S should be under Household.

Medical is vitamins and so on.
