August 2017 Budget Roundup = $535,874.76 +$24,731.11 or an increase of 4.84%
I can say without a doubt that I have been so busy, I haven’t touched anything blog-wise very much. I started dedicating only every other Saturday to working on the blog because:
A) I need a life. I still need my Mommy Day Off per week and if I spend it WORKING on this blog, I’ll burn out.
B) I still love the blog life… but with a full-time job and wanting to also have a full-time life, I need to make decisions about where my time goes.
Right now, my main source of income is my day job and I just focus on that.
- Household Chores and Errands
- Blog / Need to sell stuff
So… yeah. #5 doesn’t get much play unless I can balance out other parts of my life. Thus far, it looks a bit like this for percentage of hours dedicated to each:
- Family = 35%
- Household Chores and Errands = 10%
- Self-Care = 5%
- Work = 35%
- Blog / Sell stuff = 5%
I have a whole pile of clothes that I regretfully purchased and now no longer fit into, as I had gone berserk while having Baby Bun at home 24/7 for a year.
Anyway, need to list this stuff. HAVE TO GET IT DONE… just need to.. do .. it…
Someone posed the question the other day:
What is your money goal for 2017?
I was taken aback. No goal was set, I just wanted to work and make money.
I already know what I’ll make, the only real deciding factor is how much will I spend of my income.
I guess my goal is to make it a nice round at least $100,000 addition to my net worth this year.
I’ll be reaching about $600,000 by my count if I can keep under $3000 of expenses each month (EEP! time to cancel that facial…). I want to try and increase my net worth by bigger percentages each month. That could be interesting.

NET WORTH = $535,874.76 +$24,731.11 or an increase of 4.84%
NET WORTH FROM PAST 12 MONTHS = $535,874.76 or an increase of +$24,731.11 or +4.84%
Well at least it is going in the right direction — up. It kind of gets boring in a sense when I work.
The only thing that makes it interesting is by HOW much my net worth rises each month. For now, it’s pretty much confirmed it will be $600,000 at the end of the year.
DIVIDEND INCOME = $674.40
BABY BUN’S NET WORTH = $20,584.94 or an increase of +$1456.14 or +7.07%
All of Baby Bun’s investments are looked at in less than 4 hours a year, and the tool used is here: The Investing Tool with this strategy Investing Like a Boss — Very little work for a big reward.
