What do you wear around the house?
Loved this post from Belle about what she wears around the house on the weekends, and how honest she is.
Thought I’d tell you what I wear and it’s pretty much the same every night, every weekend especially since having The Bun:
- Sweatpants from Skin
- Large soft old t-shirt
- Cashmere sweater (oversized & thrifted from the men’s department)
When I go out, I throw on some skinny jeans, flats or boots, and any oversized sweater I have over a t-shirt, tie my hair back in a ponytail and wear some sunglasses (Ray-Bans or Persols).
Or a dress because it’s a one-shot deal.
But if I feel like dressing up, I go all out. It just depends on my mood.
During the summer, it’s a dress because one-shot dressing is as easy as it gets.
No makeup because I cannot be bothered on the weekends and it’s not good for my skin to be covered up in that stuff anyway.
And no.. my skin is not perfect at all. I go out LIKE THAT, bad skin and all.
If I had to go out to meet friends or do something specific however.. I may throw on some concealer and eyeliner.
Or not.
Depends on where we’re going and what we’re doing.
…but Belle’s post made me think about ex-boyfriends or others I might meet and honestly.. I am not sure they’d notice or care.
If they did, then it is I who doesn’t care. I only make an effort for work, and even that has been slipping in the makeup front lately.

House (day) – shorts/tank top if I’m going to run errands too or Lululemon running skirt/Y tank if I’m staying home all day (I do a long walk in the evenings on the weekends so if I’m staying home all day I’ll just wear my walking gear all day). House (night) – sweats/leggings/long sleeve T if chilly, jersey maxi dresses/free people intimate slipdresses if warm. I no longer buy just for sleep clothes, I prefer jersey loungewear or free people slipdresses as they can be worn out too.

I don’t buy sleepwear either. I just never want to wear it.. I want to be able to wear it out of the house to get the mail, like you 🙂
I also no longer buy nightgowns, they’re too long and get tangled when I sleep.

Unless I have plans, I dress pretty low key when I run errands on the weekend. Jeans, flats, and a casual top. I try to give my skin and hair a break on the weekends. No products, no blow drying…just mascara and chapstick.

I love to wear dresses! As for daily wear check out my post from today LOL! I like skinny jeans, cute boots, and a nice blouse/sweater for around the house. I’m also a fan of wearing a piece of big jewelry too.

Around the house: sweat pants or athletic shorts (depending on the season), a plain T shirt, and pullover sweater as optional add-on during winter
Out and about, minimal effort: jeans, nice long-sleeve or blouse or undershirt+sweater, infinity scarf, sneakers or boots
Out and about, fancy: embroidered dress, leather sandals
