What are you wearing on your body and face and how is your hair done, right at this moment?

I am wearing nothing on my face, except having just washed it and rubbed on a light layer of Paula’s Choice light exfoliating liquid, and my hair is up in a bun.

I’m wearing what I wore today as an outfit which is a cashmere charcoal grey turtleneck midi dress with home slippers of taupe suede Birkenstocks.

The dress looks pretty much like this 100%, and I scored it for $2 at a thrift shop:

A similar version on Net-a-Porter would have retailed at $350 or more.

Havent done anything to my hair and face besides washing and brushing.

I’m wearing my regular work uniform of blouse, black pants, and leather shoes. I wear a dark green jacket over it, and I look just put together enough with the least amount of effort.

Monday morning, ~7:33 AM, sitting at my office desk eating breakfast and having coffee. I work for an agriculture company in finance/accounting.

Face: moisturizer with spf (cetaphil), BB Cream by Stowaway in Light, cheek rouge by Stowaway in peony, a little white pearl eye shadow on lids/browbone by Laura Mercier and brows shaped by Anastasia brow powder duo/Glossier’s boy brow. Also vitamin E balm on lips and Burt’s Bees lipstick in scarlet soaked (very moisturizing for lipstick, love it).

Hair – brushed and out the door. Haven’t washed it for a few days however after getting it cut and blown out on Friday evening. It’s been dryer and cooler here (low 60s, very unusual for Hawaii) so I didn’t feel the need to wash it. I usually wash daily or every other day when it’s humid and sweaty.

Wear: Black Orchid Liquify Skinnies, a charcoal grey Joah Brown longish vneck tee with long sleeves, Abeo cognac sheepskin booties, a long black cardigan by Charter Club petite (a Macy’s private label brand), 4 rings (3 handmade & 1 tricolor triband from Ice) and my Fitbit Blaze watch. This is not a typical Hawaii outfit, not a vacation packing recommendation, lol. I got to work early and it dropped to the 50s last night at my house (I live near a mountain) so I’m a little colder than usual.

I love how detailed you got! I can just imagine it too….

When it gets humid and sweaty, I take a lot more showers but my skin (eczema) suffers. I am looking into a dry shampoo like Batiste now to just keep my hair cleaner for a day or two in between

Right now, it’s Monday morning, I am working.

On my face: moisturizer, Smashbox primer, Click sticks corrector in peach, Ulta waterproof concealer, Bobbi Brown moisturizing foundation, Sephora powder in yellow, Nars blush, Rosebud lip balm.
Hair: washed and blown dry, using some John Frieda blow dry spray I purchased in Germany.
Wearing: eyeglasses, jet beaded necklace from Talbots, black Banana Republic pants in Jackson fit, black wrap front top from Ann Taylor, brushstroke printed sack jacket from Ellen Tracy. Shoes are from Zappos, not my favorite, but serviceable, Adriana Papel.

Question, how do you launder your cashmere, do you hand wash it?

    • Sherry of Save. Spend. Splurge.

!!! I want to try those peach correctors. I did it for my undereye circles and I was amazed at how well it counteracted the circles.

For my cashmere, I handwash it if I am feeling really kind towards it, or otherwise I just put it in a little laundry mesh bag (for lingerie) and toss it in the was on delicate, cold, no spin.

When it comes out, I squeeze it gently to get all the water out, then lay it flat on some towels to let it dry.

I have a couple spritzes of Tatcha Dewy Skin Mist on my face and that’s it. I straightened my hair after I washed it today, but it’s kinda frizzy so it’s pulled back in a lazy ponytail with a brown invisibobble. On top I’m wearing a soft black zippered Northface midlayer jacket, and on the bottom I’m wearing 7 For All Mankind skinny jeans. No socks, no shoes, though I’m thinking about throwing a pair of slippers on.

I’m wearing nothing at the moment! I’m trying to wear less makeup and instead go more natural. My face needs a break from makeup, plus I’ve been learning about all of the chemicals that go in makeup and with skin being the largest organ of the body, I’m taking it more seriously.

    • Sherry of Save. Spend. Splurge.

I’d say skin absorption of chemicals (just as skin absorption of vitamins and creams for instance) is not as bad as what you eat (crap food), as it goes through your organs. I’m starting to question those studies.

    Face: Skinscript Rx moisturizer
