    Damn… this really got me. Totally going vegan now (was thinking about it for a long time but this is the final push). Thanks for sharing!

    This may explain why there is an obsession in the entertainment industry with post apocalyptic scenarios where modern civilization is destroyed. If the scenario was not brought by an outbreak of zombies, then it’s because of extraterrestrial aliens. But videos and stories like this serve a purpose to try to help people become aware of how destructive humans can be and perhaps try to humble those who claim to live a simple life. I think the hermits in New Mexico or out in the boonies are more mindful than the rest of the population who live in “civilized” cities.

    That IS terrifying… Sometimes we go through our lives day in and day out without realising the kind of impact we are having in the world – this reminds me so much about the notion of “living with intention” (where minimalism, sustainable/strategic consumption may come into view).
