Ask Sherry: Tracking spreadsheets for Investing & Budgeting

You asked, and I am answering every Friday once I have enough questions!

Who does not manufacture their own product?

I don’t quite understand the question and what you are asking. Could you please give me more detail? Thanks!

Will you consider making some spreadsheets available to all for tracking investments in the same way as you have for general finances?

Funny you should mention that.

That is exactly what I am doing. I have been using an investing spreadsheet for a long time now and it’ll be ready for sale at the same time as the investing book 🙂

We are about a week or two off from publishing.

Update: The Investing Tool is for sale here, and the Investing Like a Boss – Very little work for a big reward is here.

Why is the sky blue?

Because of this.

How much do you weigh?

I have no idea, honestly. I don’t weigh myself regularly and don’t own a scale. I go by the fit of my clothes knowing when I tailored them at what points in my life (my partner does the same, in case you were wondering).
I think the last time I weighed myself I was 110 lbs before Baby Bun arrived. Then of course as I got bigger and bigger, I was weighed every week like cattle, and I peaked at 135 lbs I think.
Post Baby Bun, I might be 120?
I am definitely not the same 110 lbs I was when I was a raw vegan (Pre-Baby Bun) because I can feel the weight around my body and my very fitted tailored clothes don’t fit any longer and I need to try and donate or sell them.
Best guess is 120 lbs – 125 lbs. I am not a US 6 yet on the bottom so I am guessing I am not 130 lbs yet. 🙂

What advice can you give to a fledgling blogger who wants to build readership while remaining anonymous? I feel like the standard advice “be engaged,” “leave comments on other blogs,” no longer applies today given the sheer volume of blogs out there, compared to a few years ago.

Have you bought my book Start a Blog like a Boss – How to Make Money yet? I answer all of that in there.

It won’t matter much if you’re Anonymous or not in building readership. It helps but it doesn’t dictate the rest of it (I’m proof positive).
The three ingredients to building readership, Anonymous or not:
  1. Be interesting – if there’s no passion in it, there’s no blog interest
  2. Give it time – can’t expect it to happen overnight
  3. Put in the hard work – consistent posting, engaging with readers, social media

I was late reading your posts, just wanted to thank you for answering my question about david’s tea. 🙂

You’re so welcome! Hope it works for you. If I see a major sale happening I will tweet it. Blog posts are too slow these days 😉

Still have a burning question?

You can ask any question using the form here and all of my previous Ask Sherry posts are here.
