A Week of Money: Where I shop, and shop until I almost drop.

DAY ONE

6:30 a.m. — Baby Bun wakes up “late” but he woke up during the night with a nosebleed AND sobbing for “Sunday Train Day”. I don’t give in. He has to learn. It was such a simple thing. I just wanted him to go and get ready for bed and come to go to sleep. He refused and I struggled with him for half an hour before having to revoke Sunday Train Day to teach him a lesson.

6:45 a.m. — I am still thinking about that very cool trench military dress (similar here) I saw in the stores the other day but it was $595 CAD plus taxes!! OMG!! I cannot justify THAT price. I have to find out if I can buy it for cheaper online.

http://shopstyle.it/l/chpD

7:15 a.m. — Instead, I log into Banana Republic and do some damage. I order this trench dress to try on, that new batik style silk dress (I would need to add straps to both though as they are STUPIDLY strapless), and a cobalt blue top. $482.90

http://shopstyle.it/l/cSLq

7:59 a.m. — OK.  Fine. I order the striped sale tops too (am a sucker for stripes), and this cotton poplin one-shoulder dress that keeps selling out online and people are saying runs BIG in the bust. All of it can be returned if it isn’t perfect. 😉 $189.70

http://shopstyle.it/l/cIy7

Psst!! All of those BR dressing room reviews can be seen here.

9:28 a.m. — I take Baby Bun out (not on the train) to deposit my cheque from Amazon. +$193.55

9:48 a.m. — I return the things I bought at Staples (notebooks and such for Mamie). -$35.86

10:58 a.m. — We come home, I feed him TWO huge bowls of vegan soup and oatmeal. Then we play. A lot, while I clean up and pack things away.

1:22 p.m. — He goes down for a nap finally. I am STARVING, waiting for my partner who went out to get bread.

1:38 p.m. — My partner finally comes home with bread and we eat black olive bread, eggs, bread and some tomatoes.

2:28 p.m. — I log on and start buying more stuff on Amazon for my aunt. OMG. So much. $451.45

2:56 p.m. — I manage to get a 10% coupon and that seals the deal. I try and buy that military dress online but the second dress is sold out in my size — I think the cart I cleared has it in its cache. I plan on trying tomorrow and if it is gone, I’ll just buy the military one.

3:06 p.m. —I try to buy two dresses but my card gets declined. Fraud alert maybe. I need to call and release the card. I call the credit card company and they inform me they blocked the purchase because of the address to my aunt.

3:26 p.m. — Baby Bun wakes up from his nap. I give him his milk and start on the dishes. I promise to take him to the park if he behaves. He nods….

3:36 p.m. — But when I’m almost done the dishes he starts whining. It is SO HARD to do dishes with a clingy child.

4:46 p.m. — I finish the dishes and let them dry finally, and because my partner is ironing, I take advantage of the hot iron and board and do my clothes and my moms new shirt as well as a gift for her next week.

5:00 p.m. — I finish everything, leave the dishes to dry and take Baby Bun to the park.

5:16 p.m. — We walk all the way there and even though I feel tired, I can feel that I’ve lost at least a pound or so. My thighs are still touching but not rubbing (the easiest way I can tell if I lost weight). On the way there, I have to keep reminding Baby Bun all day that today is Sunday but there is no train because he didn’t listen to me last night. (He hassles me at least every 3 hours to go on the train.)

6:02 p.m. — At the park, he plays and I make notes. I feel like I spent way over $1000 today, having purchased all that stuff for my aunt.

6:26 p.m. — We walk home.

7:12 p.m. — We eat, and Baby Bun is in a better mood. He NEEDS to swim or go to the park daily but I am just so damn tired…

8:07 p.m. — Dishes.. I’ll leave them to tomorrow. I’m too tired. I start reading Rich People’s Problems by Kwan. Addicted.

Saved: $35.86

Spent: $1124.05 – Pending returns from a store & stuff for my aunt

DAY TWO

6:02 a.m. — Baby Bun is awake. I have only 20 minutes to do all the dishes SUPER QUICKLY from last night. Shouldn’t be hard.

6:22 a.m. — OMG. WHY IS HE DOING THIS TO ME. Then this happened: He broke my spirit.

8:00 a.m. — I am home. Broken. Stressed. Makeup smeared. I log in and email saying I am not making it in today.

8:08 a.m. — I start working. He is NOW AN ANGEL. WTF. WTF IS THIS.

9:48 a.m. — I hop on a call and he starts whining. OMG. NOW IS THE TIME HE WHINES?… I am furious but can’t say anything while on the phone.

10:02 a.m. — I hop on another conference call and this time, prepped him with an iPad and told him to be VERY QUIET.

12:08 p.m. — We head out for lunch. I don’t even care any more. I buy ALL THE SUSHIZ ON DISPLAY for us. $28.72

12:28 p.m. — At home, he stuffs his little face and asks for my (raw) salmon sushi while I work. I give him half of my salmon sushi.

12:56 p.m. — I get him down for a nap, and hop on another call. He comes out WHINING. OMG OMG WHY. WHY IS THIS HAPPENING ALL THE TIME. I am so distracted, I can barely speak.

1:12 p.m. — I am off the call and he wants me to pat his bum. I pat 20 times and then firmly close the door.

1:44 p.m. — I take a lunch break and stuff my face with the sushi (so needed it), and starts finishing my bag of coconut chips in the thai chili flavour I’m addicted to, while watching Modern Family. How much do I love Sofia Vergara?

2:18 p.m. — Back to work. I need to go to the doctor’s again, she commissioned another blood test for me and I have been avoiding going to pick it up but know I have to do it (why are they only open 8 to 5 on weekdays?).

2:22 p.m. — Oh right! The dresses! I log in and buy the three I wanted in the sizes I wanted (I knew they just blocked the item). I have them shipped to my German address in Frankfurt from Borderlinx. I will see if it works and then write a review. This German brand is awesome, I find them in independent stores everywhere here in Montreal but at double the price. $461.83

2:48 p.m. — Baby Bun is still conked out. Bliss. I can finally work.

3:45 p.m. — I take Baby Bun to the doctor’s, I need to pick up that paper for my blood test.

4:15 p.m. — I get back and continue working. I need to put in an extra hour either today or tomorrow. I’m leaning towards tomorrow.

5:45 p.m. — My partner gets home. I recount my hassle with Baby Bun in the morning and how I burst into tears.

6:05 p.m. — He quietly listened and then took him out of the house to the park. FIRST TIME EVER he initiated this park visit with me at home. I am grateful.

7:05 p.m. — Back in the door, one hour later sharp. I’m thrilled to have had a break no matter how small, and managed to squeeze in some Bridget Jones’ Baby. I am watching it in spurts and I love her character, skinny or not. (People were mad she was skinny in this sequel but I don’t care).

8:07 p.m. — Bedtime. For me. I’m exhausted. By the way, this mom brain absolutely real. I “sleep” at 8 p.m. but he doesn’t actually conk out until 9 p.m. sometimes 10 p.m., and then wakes up at 6 a.m., or in the middle of the night multiple times. I need 9 hours of FULL SOLID SLEEP. Once I wake up, it takes me half an hour to fall back asleep as my brain starts racing… a mother at a park once told me she started just taking a teaspoon of Advil a night so that she could just go back to sleep after waking so often.

Spent: $28.72

DAY THREE

??:?? — Baby Bun wakes me up.

??:?? — I wake up from him kicking my back.

6:00 a.m. — We’re both up. He’s sucking down a bottle of milk and I’m lying beside him wishing for another hour.

7:00 a.m. — Out the door after a cup of hot green tea latte. Some days I don’t even get this. I really need to find and pay for a parking lot or garage right where I am working rather than having to try and find street parking.

8:08 a.m. — At work.

11:02 a.m. — Lunch. While I am eating at my desk, I order a bunch of stuff for my aunt. It is insane how much she needs having moved into her new place. I basically go down the list my mom emails me and just hit “buy” on everything. $1012.58

12:28 p.m. — Back to working. I feel like I didn’t get a break from having to search through everything for my aunt and buy it. Oh well. Back to work.

2:08 p.m. — Did I remember to buy that notebook for Mamie? I quickly log on and buy a notebook from Moleskine for her. With shipping to Canada, it comes out to be double the price of the notebook. Oh well, it’s a gift. $28.98

5:05 p.m. — I leave work, breathe some fresh air and power walk to Baby Bun who miraculously is not crying this time. He begs me for a snack and I hand him whatever I have in the bag — pita bread.

6:37 p.m. — At home, dishes are done, and I’m logged in. I’m organizing my To Do tasks (I write a lot of little notes and reminders as they pop up during the day to myself about things to buy, to do, reminders for myself, and/or the family).

6:42 p.m. — I can’t really concentrate because I’m trying to clear the bills, make sure my budget is balanced and I am not incurring interest on everything but Baby Bun is just super clingy and wants to do lots of stuff together like go on the train, the park, etc. I WOULD LOVE TO, but I still need to get THIS done. I need to start carving out blocks of time for him, myself and sticking to it. Hopefully after the next 2 weeks things will settle down.

8:37 p.m. — OMG. I get up in a panic. Did I remember to move some money into my account for the fees this month? I quickly get up, log in, with a bleary-eyed Baby Bun coming by rubbing his eyes at the bright screen, and transfer money so we don’t have a bounced cheque. Phew.

9:07 p.m. — Back in bed, but Baby Bun is now excited we can get up in the middle of the night to do things and tries the trick out on me. Ugh.

Saved: $0

Spent: $1041.56 – Wow look, spent a whole paycheque…

DAY FOUR

??:?? — Baby Bun wiggles and squeals for milk. I give up, I don’t even know what time it is. I shove a bottle in his mouth.

??:?? — He burps the last bit, flips over, hands me the bottle like a drunkard with an “EEHHH EHHHHHHHHH” noise, and falls right back asleep.

7:49 a.m. — He woke up LATE. I’m already ready to go and was staring at him while he slept. I guess that midnight, early morning feeding is what keeps his belly full and sleeping through the night. He didn’t even ask for milk. I am SUPER LATE FOR WORK THOUGH… fine because I went in early yesterday and left later so this is not a big-ish deal.

8:18 a.m. — At work I quickly scroll through one of the Money Diary posts, and realize that I am super effin’ lucky at my job. I work truly 40 hours a week at the most, have a life, and make a good wage. Life really is good, even with all these little details I always feel the need to clamp down on.

10:18 a.m. — My mom sends me multiple emails. She is coming up next week for a week, and she wants to make sure everything is packed and ready. I email back quickly.

11:02 a.m. — Work….

1:44 p.m. — I get around to my lunch late, a meeting ran late, then people showed up to talk about more issues.. I tried to nod and pay attention as my brain flagged and my stomach grumbled, but after they left, I just BOLTED for the lunch room to scarf down my meal. Starving.

2:18 p.m. — OMG. Want a Poké bowl. Must steel resolve.

4:15 p.m. — I leave work, grab Baby Bun, drop off the cheque for pre-school (ouch) and head home. $875

4:39 p.m. — No traffic. What happened?!?!? I decide to take advantage and grab Baby Bun to go to the park.

5:02 p.m. — At the park, he is … NOT JUMPING ENOUGH. I need MORE energy, more activity, more climbing and screaming so he is nice and tired for bed.

6:12 p.m. — We get back in, my partner’s foot is swollen and hurting from a medical condition he has when he eats too much of something and gets uric acid in his foot? I don’t quite get it. Anyway, he is limping and has to lie down to rest. I bring him ice for his foot.

8:07 p.m. — I get Baby Bun ready for bed, and try to wrangle him down on the pillow. He only does it after 3 book readings before I pull the plug on books.

Saved: $0

Spent: $875 — I only pay half of this though

DAY FIVE

??:?? — Baby Bun squeals and wakes me. I try and pat him back to sleep, he screams for milk. I won’t let him have it.

5:58 a.m. — He’s awake. I’m.. tired. I’m always tired. My brain is all floppy inside.

8:19 a.m. — At work, of course, having left Baby Bun squealing and crying bloody murder as if I’m abandoning him to wolves instead of leaving him in school to play and have fun. I WANT TO BE IN THIS PRE-SCHOOL. Grr.

11:22 a.m. — Someone proposes walking out for a lobster roll. I cave. When we get there, I see the price is $19.95 for the combo with chips. WHOAA. WTF. Well. You only eat it once and never again if it sucks right? I am shocked by the price tag and buy it to try.

12:08 p.m. — The lobster roll was all lobster, not much roll or mayonnaise, but the soup was disappointing as a clam chowder (not thick and creamy).  Worth it? Not for $25 (tip in).

12:50 p.m. — Back at the office.

4:55 p.m. — I leave to pick up Baby Bun.

5:35 p.m. — Back in the house, I’m cleaning, organizing, wiping down, making a mental note to vacuum and steam clean next week. My family is coming to visit next week. I already pre-paid their hotel, but will have to try and meet up and shell out $$ for any meals or things they want to eat or buy. This is going to get expensive up in hurrr…

5:57 p.m. — I log in and in a flurry of activity bid on and buy a ton of stuff off Amazon, namely this pink iPod Transmitter (where the hell did my Belkin one go? SIGH.), and this one has a USB charger built INTO it along with being able to use it for music too. FINALLY. It also comes in a few colours, I pick pink.. naturally.. It will add some colour in the car. $21.83

http://amzn.to/2upgdW3

6:59 p.m. — I also pick up some Clorox Bleach pens to bleach my tile grout. I have tried everything and frankly, bleach seems to be the only thing that will kill this pink mildew and mold. I also plan on doing some DIY on a pair of cheap jeans based on a style I saw on a girl when I was in Europe. I think she did the DIY herself as well and it looked so pretty as little white spots (bleach pen?) it looked like stars on the cuff of her pants and on the back of her jeans. I’ll give a few pens to my mother when she visits. $63.88

7:09 p.m. — I also buy some raw almond nut butter (have been dying to try this), cacao powder (really want to try a hot chocolate), a pair of Babiators sunglasses for Baby Bun because I freaked out over an article about UVA and UVB entering his eyeballs and creating macular degeneration at such a young age. $78.81

7:19 p.m. — I eye the dresses from SET again and realize I can sign up for worldwide shipping courier services and just have it forwarded to me. It’ll be a good test of the services to see how it goes. I end up buying a military dress, striped cotton dress and merino wool beige sweater dress, all perfect for work (except the military one unless I wear it like a vest and not a DRESS..) $461.83

http://shopstyle.it/l/cihg

(I love how they styled the merino wool dress, I have all of these items..)

Saved: $0

Spent: $626.35

DAY SIX

??:?? — Blessed weekend. I’m glad that even though I’m being woken up and unable to fall back asleep for an hour, that I do not need to be at work early. I pat Baby Bun’s bum back to sleep.

7:02 a.m. — He SLEPT IN. SLEPT IN!! Oh happy days. I still feel tired, not at all refreshed or rested, but not as bad as some days. I usually get out of the funk 3 hours later or so after a lot of tea, and some food, but the initial wakeup makes me very, very grumpy.

7:19 a.m. — I iMessage a mother I loved from playgroup (she is so funny) and we make plans to meet up in 3 weekends from now (LOL) at a park for a playdate. We’re both crazy planners, and everyone thinks we’re crazy. I invite other mothers along but they don’t seem too keen on waking up at 8 a.m. for a super early morning playdate (our kids have us up super early so we mesh well schedule-wise).

8:08 a.m. — I begin the day with scrubbing the toilets. YAY!

8:18 a.m. — A load of laundry goes in to soak with Oxiclean in the washer, the only stuff (aside from bleach which I don’t love) that really gets stains out of white clothing and all other kinds of clothing without bleaching it. I’m so happy we bought full-sized washer and dryers because not only will they last longer than the small compact “cute” space-efficient ones, I can put in a lot more stuff and not have to worry about it (plus stop & open it mid-cycle to add some more clothes Baby Bun stains).

8:22 a.m. — I read a few books to Baby Bun and play with him with his plush toy and the blankets, hiding it, and making the bear run all over his body and face, tickling him.

9:08 a.m. — I better start on all the stuff I need to get done before my parents come up next week, AND I plan on going out today in the afternoon. I take out my sewing kid, plop Baby Bun down with a puzzle and fix his pants. He had a hole in the bum area the other day (must have sat on something sharp), and he took the pants to me, squealing: MOMMY FIX, MOMMY FIX PANTS! HOLE!! FIX! … he is so proud and excited about reporting it to me.

10:28 a.m. — My partner comes home, we have a quick little lunch of an omelette and some bread with an olive bread, and Baby Bun continues to play around us while I tidy up. Why is my desk always so full of crap? I need to figure out how to get more organized. I want to toss these things but I need these cables. I wish we had a hidden compartment underneath the tables to store this stuff. Design idea. Could make millions.

11:28 a.m. — My iPod Touch squeaks and the screen flickers slightly. Uh oh. I think I need to get a new one. I must have worked this one hard… maybe this could be my OTHER video / music iPod Touch (a real one) for the car instead. It’s easier to play music on this thing in the car with a touch screen than with the scrolling feature on my old iPod.

12:56 p.m. — I get ready and make my escape. I lean down and tell him to give me a big kiss Bye Bye and tomorrow will be Mommy and Baby Bun day. He doesn’t want me to go, and is repeating that “Mommy has to get stuff done“, but bursts into tears when I have to wrench my hand away. I leave him sobbing in the hallway (I listen at the door and he stops after 30 seconds).

1:12 p.m. — On the bus, I am reminded when Baby Bun saw someone in ripped jeans the other day, turns to me, and says: “Mommy, needs to fix the pants later! Lots of holes!!” Hilarious. I love the look of ripped jeans too, but only.. slightly.. distressed. Not where there are gaping holes at the knees. $2.25

1:54 p.m. — I beeline for the Apple store, trade in my old iPod Touch (another one I had that Baby Bun ruined) for 10% off a new iPod Touch, this time, taking the maximum space at 128GB. I cringe at the price tag because I did not plan for this, but my entire life is mapped out on this iPod Touch. I cannot continue without a working one. $516.35

2:18 p.m. — I get a matcha with almond milk someone recommended to me, but am totally disgusted. Not only is the matcha terrible quality (rough, too grassy, not refined), the almond milk is disgusting. I regret wasting the money on this drink but gulp it down anyway. I prefer Starbucks to this crap, and homemade matcha is the best. $6.77

2:22 p.m. — I drop off a whole armful of things to repair at the tailor. I have been waiting this whole time to have money to fix this stuff, and even ruefully showed her where I screwed up trying to create my own straps for a dress by hand-sewing it in. She is sympathetic, but giggles at my mistake. Oops.  $103.50

2:48 p.m. — I check out some sunglasses at a nearby store, wanting and hoping to replace the pair I left behind for something lighter. I settle on the Ray-Ban Erika’s because they come in a polarized version, are super light, and are very comfortable. They don’t have the ombré version, so I take the brown tortoiseshell. With some old gift cards and points at this store, I get it for a significant discount. $69.81

http://amzn.to/2usgl5v

3:45 p.m. — I wander around downtown before I realize it’s getting late, and I want to go pick up the mail before I get home. I take the bus home. $2.25

5:35 p.m. — My packages arrived! My glam sneakers are AWESOME and very comfortable as promised. “Gunmetal” turns out to be more of a bronze with a slight green sheen to it. Whatever, it isn’t super bright or sparkly, but just sparkly enough. Beyond excited. LOVE THE STUDDED BUCKLE! Aaaaaaaahh so cute.

http://amzn.to/2ussIi1

http://amzn.to/2ussIi1

5:59 p.m. — Just as I am oohing-and-aahing over them on my feet, my mom emails me to say she’s secured a pair of copper Birkenstocks in the Arizona style as well. YAY! Comfortable glam seems to be the summer style for me this year.

http://amzn.to/2eHRFSs

6:19 p.m. — Inside the apartment flush with a shopping high, I greet Baby Bun with a big hug and kiss. My partner says he had a great day today and stopped crying almost immediately when I left. Figures. Guilt tripping Mommy is his game.

6:22 p.m. — We’re on the floor after I take off my sunscreen (need to really remove this mineral stuff) and wash my face properly. I have been getting acne and bumps on my skin because I have been lazy on this front and just… kind of in the “don’t give AF” mood when it comes to my skin so I need to work on this. I had gone for a facial and they always exclaim over how good my skin is (smooth, no bumps) but I’m my worst critic and wish my skin TONE was even. Oh well.

6:57 p.m. — Dinner over. We ate a simple meal of just olive bread. I’m not hungry anyway.

7:57 p.m. — On a whim after dinner, I log online and order some acne scar cream from BEST to try and remove sun spots and even out my skin tone with hydroquinone. I read that Murad’s Rapid Age Spot works really well but I can’t find it here nor online, so I just looked at the active ingredient in it (hydroquinone which I have used once before) and bought a cheaper version of it to lighten a few spots. Maybe then I won’t need to pay for any laser or IPL treatments. $99.70

8:57 p.m. — I FINALLY wrangle Baby Bun into bed. He has to sleep but he doesn’t want to. I spend a long time patting his bum before making him go to the washroom (I know this because my arm hurts and when he wiggles too much it means he isn’t comfortable).

DAY SEVEN

6:23 a.m. — MOMMY AND BABY BUN DAY!!!! Baby Bun wakes up excited, in a great mood, and super happy he gets a whole day of Mommy. I know he used to have that before 24/7 and Mommy never left his side, and he’s not happy with Mommy Working as the big change, but he loves these days (me too).

7:22 a.m. — Sunscreen on both of us and we’re already out the door to play hard at the park until lunch. Baby Bun eagerly squeals: BYE DADDY! SEE YOU LATER!!

8:08 a.m. — I meet up with a mother who chats about her kids and I talk about mine too. Baby Bun gets possessive and refuses to let me chat, trying to pull me away saying “NO TALKING.” I give a rueful look and leave to play with Baby Bun alone at the park.

10:18 a.m. — We run and hop back home, I am trying to get him to expend a ton of energy so that he naps well.

11:02 a.m. — Inside the home, I check my emails. Wow that was fast, my dresses shipped and I already know I have to pay for customs and duties for it before it comes to me. I pre-pay online so that they can just leave the package at the door and I don’t have to go anywhere to get it. Included is also the fee Borderlinx charged me for the service (~$60). $187.12

12:08 p.m. — I eat lunch with my partner and Baby Bun, and Baby Bun starts to get cranky which means it’s time for him to nap (he gets whiny). He refuses to nap until I tell him we will go out shopping if he naps, and I will do more FUN STUFF with him if he does. He goes down with a little protest but then closes his eyes.

12:10 p.m. — I try out a new facial sample I got at Sephora the other day and have been meaning to use it from Fresh. It’s the Umbrian Clay (just for my T-Zone) and this Vitamin Nectar mask for the cheeks and forehead. I’m not sure how I feel about masks — are they really effective? But it does smell really good and feel really nice on the skin. The Vitamin Nectar one is like rubbing apricot jam all over my face. I want to eat it.

12:16 p.m. — I hide in the bathroom when I do masks so my partner doesn’t freak out. It’s a nice time to relax on the cool tiled floor for 10 minutes, meditating. You take your “spa days” where you can get ’em, I say.

12:22 p.m. —  Mask off! I feel like my skin is better but who knows for sure? I slather on a ton of niacinamide from Paula’s choice (still my #1 go-to brand for almost everything), and feel slightly more relaxed. I recall joking with a mother the other day that we should bring face masks to the park, and have the kids rub it into our faces as an activity, while they rub sand all over our feet to exfoliate. It’d be a “Park Spa” lol.

1:44 p.m. — I log in and answer the backlog of personal and blog emails, and try to reply to some comments. I LOVE COMMENTS 🙂 You all seem to love these Week of Money posts, and it makes me want to write them even more when I hear from you. Thanks for all the support & help. I know it all comes from a good place, and I appreciate it. <3

2:18 p.m. — I see my Banana Republic pieces come in and I try all of them on. I keep almost everything except the Trench Dress (looks so blah on me), and the Cotton Poplin dress which is pretty but I am realizing I need to buy a strapless bra and keep a strap on (which I hate), and it’s already $145 + $60 for a bra.. not worth $200 for something I may not actually wear often even if it looks great. You can check out all of the Style Shopper Dressing Room Reviews for Banana Republic Summer 2017 that I bought here. -$310.50

2:25 p.m. — Baby Bun wakes up and comes out smiling. I love that time when they wake up, all sleepy, soft and warm and want a good cuddle.

2:48 p.m. — He has his milk and we go out for a nice walk to the park. I love spending this kind of time with him. I don’t ever judge parents who are on their phones while at the park (I have admittedly watched videos, listened to music and written blog posts at the park) but I find that now that I am working full-time, my park time is 100% Baby Bun, and nothing gets in the way. When I was with him full-time at home, OH YEAH you can bet I put on the headphones and tuned out.

5:35 p.m. — We played HARD. We only come back in “early” because I see the sky turned dark grey and the air became chilly.

6:00 p.m. — Yummy dinner. We end up just sitting around chatting while Baby Bun plays with puzzles until it’s time for bed.

9:07 p.m. — We’re all finally bundled into bed, and lie there chatting until we fall asleep. Baby Bun sleeps about 25 minutes in, having had a good day for the most part.

What is this German brand you ordered three dresses from? SET? I didn’t quite get it but would love to know since I live in Germany 🙂

I can relate to so many levels with you on this post. Toddlers are so moody and unpredictable it’s a surprise how most parents, especially those without family helps, keep sane. Sound he started to calm down more though so hopefully it will keep up and you get some break!

Can’t wait for your review on the cream since I have some sun spots too to get rid of.

Toddlers are angel monsters. They’re so sweet and loving, and then RAWAARRRRRR!!

I am working very hard on trying to apply it twice a day. I have not seen any change thus far, working on week 2, but my spots were super dark and another is more like a coffee coloured patch. We shall see. I think I may be applying it wrong and rubbing it off as I pat moisturizer over it (how do people do this correctly!? Is there no patch for this!?)

I admit I look forward to these posts. They go well with my morning coffee.
